Attendance Up At Hong Kong Fair

a significant increase in overseas visitors marked the 21st edition of the september hong kong jewellery & watch fair, asia’s largest international jewelry trade event. the fair attracted 35,890 visitors from 118 countries and regions, up 2,723 compared with september 2002. more than 45% of visitors came from outside hong kong.

sales of designer jewelry are on the rise. that’s one of the findings from a recent survey of jck’s retail panel, which revealed that designer jewelry accounted for a median 10% of jewelers’ total sales. for 63.4% of jewelers, designer jewelry’s slice of their total sales pie increased over the past two years.
