AGS and AGS Labs Relaunch Web Sites

The American Gem Society (AGS) recently unveiled its redesigned Web site (www.ags.org), which has been improved to enhance communication with the consumer, trade, media, and members.

The consumer section has advice on making a fine-jewelry purchase and information on jewelry care, as well as the benefits of shopping with an AGS jeweler. A secure member area contains member news, program information, online member services catalog, a staff directory, educational offerings, events calendar, guild information, and the AGS Suppliers Online Pavilion.

A trade and media area features press releases and images, plus a resumé posting and member job search area. For more information, please call (702) 255-6500, or visit www.ags.org.

The American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) also has relaunched its Web site (www.agslab.com) with a new look and a focus on both the consumer and the trade.

The site allows download of lab packets, two “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQs) sections—one for consumers, the other for the trade—a client survey, and learning tools to educate visitors about the Lab’s Diamond Documents. The relaunch concludes “Phase 1” for the Web site.

Phase II will feature an enhanced Preferred Client section where clients can log in and obtain the grading results of their diamonds as well as track shipment of their goods.
