24-Carat Bulgari Pink Diamond Ring Could Fetch $18M at Christie’s

Christie’s will offer a 24-ct. pink diamond ring by Bulgari at its Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva on Nov. 10. The estimate is approximately 10 million to 15 million Swiss francs, or $12 million to $18 million (not including the buyer’s premium).

Dubbed the Bulgari Pink, the emerald-cut stone headlines the house’s Autumn Luxury Week in the city. It belongs to a European noble family, and Christie’s says it has never been offered at auction.

According to the family, the owner’s great-grandfather acquired the uncut stone in India in the 1950s, then took it to Bulgari, which turned it into the ring. Christie’s says the diamond has stayed in private hands for more than 70 years.

That period was a busy one for the Roman jeweler. Rome was becoming a postwar film capital, and Bulgari’s Via Condotti boutique drew stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Audrey Hepburn, and Mel Ferrer, Christie’s notes.

The stone is Type IIa, which the auction house says accounts for under 2% of gem-quality diamonds. Christie’s compares its hue to that of famed Golconda diamonds. The release does not name a grading laboratory.

Recent results show how the market treats pinks. Christie’s sold the 10.38 ct. Marie-Thérèse Pink, a purple-pink diamond set by JAR, for $13.98 million in New York on June 17, 2025, nearly double its high estimate. The sale set records for a purple-pink diamond and for a JAR jewel. The Bulgari Pink’s high estimate sits above that price.

Smaller stones have fared less predictably. Heritage Auctions sold a 6.17 ct. natural fancy pink for about $2.2 million in December 2025. That same month, a 3.63 ct. purple-pink diamond that was expected to bring up to $1.5 million went unsold as the lead lot of a Sotheby’s New York sale. A 2.86 ct. fancy vivid purplish pink ring sold for HK$5.8 million in April, according to Sotheby’s.

The ring will be on view in Geneva Nov. 5–10. The live sale takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.
