M. Spalten’s Gemfetti Is The Jewelry Party We Deserve

Share

If you’re even half as big a fan of Melissa Spalten’s work as I am, you’ll go positively bananas for the designer’s latest release.

M. Spalten’s beloved Gemdrop collection—a style that dangles juicy gemstone drops from luscious gold open link chains—has gotten a worthy rebranding. Unveiled at the recent Couture show in Las Vegas, its new name is Gemfetti, the kind of confectionery label perfectly apt to describe the explosion of color that feels positively celebratory.

“Gemdrop has been my best-selling collection, but the name felt a bit too general,” says Spalten of the change. “I wanted to create a name that was more specific and meaningful to the collection. My brand is all about celebrating gemstones, and the Gemfetti collection is truly a party of gems!”

While the designer hand-selects some of the most sensational gemstone color combinations, the pieces may also be customized, allowing consumers the option of really making each piece their own, down to the size, shape, and type of stones included.

On the topic of size, there’s another Vegas unveiling—Jumbo Gemfetti. Talk about wow factor. Pictured above, the supersize version is more to love and positively jaw-dropping.

In addition to the rebranding, Spalten put her gemmy magic spin on a series of bracelets dubbed Gem ID. The line, which can be described as none other than jewelry candy, begs to be worn in groups, though shoppers will clamor for just one taste of this sweet series.

“It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen my jewelry friends, and we were all happy to be able to be here and feel some sense of return to normalcy,” says Spalten of her return to Las Vegas.  “I was really excited to show off the new Gem ID bracelet collection and was so pleased with how much attention it received. The new pieces in the Gemfetti collection—new chain options, larger stone sizes, and pendants with enhancer clips—people loved the many options we have for customization with those!”
