The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1, and stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt have been living like their characters—at least as far as their jewelry—throughout the international press tour for the movie.
At the film’s world premiere last night in New York, Anne Hathaway embellished her custom red Louis Vuitton strapless dress with Bulgari rubellite and diamond earrings and a Serpenti diamond bracelet with mother-of-pearl (pictured).
Other brands, including Fope, Jacob & Co., Cindy Chao/The Art Jewel, Fred Leighton, and kWIT, have been on display during the actresses’ press stops, from New York to Mexico City to Shanghai. And the trailer hints at more fabulous designer jewels in the movie itself.
Even Blunt’s husband, actor John Krasinski, got into the jewelry spotlight. He wore a Bulgari 18k gold brooch with diamonds and round rubies to the premiere Monday at Lincoln Center, along with an Octo Roma watch with a stainless steel case and brown alligator bracelet.
Streep’s jewelry and fashion have been particularly exciting for kWIT founder and designer Karla Witukiewicz to see: The three-time Oscar winner has worn kWIT’s pink tourmaline Mood Orb ring everywhere, from an appearance last week on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert—that cerulean blue sweater from the original movie!—to Good Morning America on Monday. Plus, she wears the ring as Miranda Priestly in the movie.

Witukiewicz says the Mood Orb ring is a “power neutral”—a bold, colorful statement piece that feels easy to wear. She used pink tourmaline because it symbolizes joy, confidence, and feminine power, and that mirrors who Streep is in real life and on screen, the designer says.
“We intentionally made the enamel partially transparent so the gold shines through from underneath. It’s meant to reflect that inner light coming forward,” Witukiewicz tells JCK. “To me, it also speaks to inner beauty, the idea that what’s inside you can be brought to the surface through the way you present yourself, whether that’s through the clothes you wear, the jewelry you choose, or the confidence you lead with.
“I think films like The Devil Wears Prada 2 remind people that fashion is really about expressing who you are and how you want to feel, adds Witukiewicz. “It empowers women to reflect what’s on the inside in how they show up in the world, and to wear that with confidence. Your attire and especially your jewelry wardrobe is really a canvas for individuality.”
