Jean-Marc Duplaix (pictured) now has an additional title at Kering: chief executive officer of Kering Jewelry, a new entity that brings the Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, and Qeelin brands under one organization.

In a March 16 statement, Kering said it has created the division to “structure and accelerate” the growth of its jewelry business. Duplaix’s appointment as its CEO is effective immediately, the company noted.

He will continue to serve as Kering’s chief operating officer, overseeing finance, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, real estate, digital, and the general secretariat.

All of Kering’s jewelry brands will report to Duplaix, allowing Kering to improve their strategic alignment and better coordinate their operations. The new jewelry unit will support the growth, creative identities, and development of collections at Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, and Qeelin, according to the corporate statement.

Kering Jewelry also will encompass the parent company’s industrial capabilities, including the Raselli Franco Group. Kering began a staged acquisition of that Italian manufacturer last year.

WWD said that Kering is “signaling its ambitions in the jewelry segment” by establishing Kering Jewelry and naming Duplaix its head. Kering CEO Luca de Meo created the jewelry unit to “turn around the fortunes of the ailing group,” which reported a third year of down sales in 2025, according to the WWD report.

“With Kering Jewelry, we are giving the group a powerful and cohesive platform capable of supporting our houses’ ambitions in an area of expertise where creativity and excellence are inseparable,” de Meo said in a statement. “I am delighted with the appointment of Jean-Marc. His experience will be instrumental in unlocking the group’s full potential in Jewelry.”
