Signet’s Board to Drop to 10 With André Branch’s Resignation

Cosmetics and fragrance industry veteran André Branch (pictured) has left the Signet Jewelers board of directors, the jewelry giant announced after market close on Thursday.

In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Signet said that on July 2, Branch informed Signet’s board of his decision to resign, effective immediately. He had been a board member since February 2021.

“Mr. Branch’s resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company on any matter, including relating to its operations, policies, or practices,” Signet said in the filing.

The Signet board now has 10 members. In May, Signet appointed Jeffrey Gennette, a former chairman and CEO of Macy’s, to its board and announced at the same time that board member Nancy Reardon would not stand for reelection.

Branch’s LinkedIn says he is currently chief executive officer of r.e.m. beauty by Ariana Grande, a position he started in June 2025. He previously served as senior vice president and general manager of MAC Cosmetics North America, a division of Estée Lauder, and senior VP of e-commerce and digital operations at L’Oréal USA.

At L’Oréal, Branch also held senior management roles with Ralph Lauren Fragrances and Viktor & Rolf. Earlier, he worked in marketing for Diageo beverage brands, including Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo, and Smirnoff.

When Branch and banking exec Dontá Wilson joined Signet’s board, then board chair H. Todd Stitzer lauded them as “dynamic, transformative leaders with incredible backgrounds and track records… [who] embody what we seek from our directors—agile mindsets, proven leadership, and innovative thinking. I’m confident they will help fuel our work accelerating Signet’s digital-first, omnichannel transformation.”
