Showing the growing importance of digital transformation to Signet Jewelers, America’s largest jewelry retailer has appointed two new directors with extensive digital experience to the company’s board of directors.

The appointments of André Branch and Dontá Wilson will increase Signet’s board from 10 members to 12, 11 of whom are independent. (Current CEO Gina Drosos is the sole nonindependent member.)

Since 2020, Branch (pictured, above) has served as the senior vice president and general manager of MAC Cosmetics North America, a division of Estee Lauder Companies, where he oversees the brand’s local operations. He previously worked as senior vice president of e-commerce and digital operations at another fragrance company, L’Oréal USA.

He has also worked at Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Diesel, and Stella McCartney, as well as at Ralph Lauren, where he oversaw one of the most successful men’s fragrance launches in the country, a statement said.

Wilson (pictured, below) currently serves as the chief digital and client experience officer of Truist Financial Corporation, where he oversees the bank’s digital innovation and transformation. He also serves as an executive sponsor of Truist’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative and cochair of its culture council.

He has appeared five times on Savoy magazine’s list of top 100 influential Black executives in corporate America.

“I am excited to join Signet’s board of directors, particularly in this moment as it accelerates the company’s transformation with breakthroughs in customers’ digital experience and innovation in every part of the business and organization,” Wilson said in a statement.

Board chair H. Todd Stitzer said in the same statement that “these dynamic, transformative leaders with incredible backgrounds and track records…embody what we seek from our directors—agile mindsets, proven leadership, and innovative thinking. I’m confident they will help fuel our work accelerating Signet’s digital-first, omnichannel transformation.”
