UNOde50 Debuts “Galerías” Store Concept in Puerto Rico

Share

Spanish jewelry retailer UNOde50 has opened a Puerto Rico flagship based on a new store concept aimed at turning retail space into a creative gallery where clients both shop and learn about the brand and its history.

The Plaza Las Américas location in San Juan celebrated its grand opening in February with the kind of party Bad Bunny would wish he were invited to—with flamenco dancing, martinis, and mingling for hours.

UNOde50 is calling stores developed under its new concept galerías, says the company’s communications manager Mercedes Alamillo Madrid, describing them as places where design, artistic expression, and customer experience come together so the store feeling like a gathering space.

UNOde50 seeks to make its stores, like the new Puerto Rico flagship, feel like artistic meeting spaces.

“We want these spaces to invite everyone who walks into the store to discover the brand from a sensory and cultural perspective, aligned with the creative DNA that has defined UNOde50 since the very beginning,” Alamillo Madrid says.

“Every element in the space has been designed to offer a dynamic and participatory experience, reflecting the brand’s evolution and its global vision. We want to collaborate with local artists and entrepreneurs of each country.”

Puerto Rico is an important market for UNOde50—the new flagship is its fifth store there, and the brand considers Puerto Rico key within its international expansion, according to Alamillo Madrid. The retailer draws inspiration from the island’s culture and spirit of the people, she notes. UNOde50’s other Puerto Rico locations are in Ponce, Bayamón, Carolina, and Hatillo.

With the San Juan flagship, UNOde50 reaffirms its commitment to strategic markets and to an audience that values design, authenticity, and experiences that go beyond the conventional, says Alamillo Madrid.

The brand’s signature color, red, helps create a welcoming interior at the new San Juan store.

UNOde50’s signature red is used throughout the interior of the new store, including in display cases carry. There are also white cases and large white shelving units that highlight the jewelry. Artwork includes a picture of a big, red heart, reflecting one of UNOde50’s main motifs.

The Plaza Las Américas store has a dedicated space for UNOde50’s limited editions. “These are unique, numbered pieces that connect directly with our brand promise, with our name, with who we are,” says Alamillo Madrid.

“At UNOde50, each piece of jewelry is an expression of authenticity and freedom—values that reach their highest form in our limited editions,” she adds.

“They are true works of art, designed and handcrafted in Madrid, capturing the pure essence of the brand and strengthening the emotional bond with those who seek something truly exclusive.”
