Pinterest’s Annual Summer Trend Report Is Here

Pinterest has released its 2025 summer trend report, much to my giddy satisfaction. The report is so often on point with what’s happening in the world of Gen Z (which can, believe it or not, influence other demographics) that I always devour it with an eagerness to start shopping.

Gen Zers are a desirable target for jewelers, because they represent an opportunity to secure customers for life. As the generation’s spending power rises, reaching them now—and growing with them—is key to snagging that covetable brand loyalty.

Of course, no jewelry business should ever sacrifice its DNA or voice for the sake of current trends or customer fads. But some of the items in this report—even though its specific mentions of jewelry are rare (boo!)—may be too alluring to resist, as the lifestyle aesthetics that Pinterest sees trending could dictate both the styles and colors young shoppers gravitate toward in jewelry.

For example, flower jewelry is the obvious accompaniment to the “Martha Stewart aesthetic” that headlines Pinterest’s report. Floral-themed pieces would be perfect for accessorizing flowy button-downs, wide-brimmed sunhats, and other clothing of the “Martha Stewart aesthetic,” which showcases that garden-to-table lifestyle (think bountiful bouquets, cucumber salads, and freshly made lemonade).

Gen Z also seems to be prioritizing vintage and thrifted items, with increased searches on Pinterest for such things as trinket shelves, vintage garden parties, and thrifted room decor. The match here would be vintage jewelry, a category already popular across generations.

While Pinterest was accurate with its butter yellow prediction in the 2025 Pinterest Palette, it appears another color from that report could eclipse it—dill green. “The color of the summer will be dill green…as users are searching for this earthy, vintage-inspired hue for all things fashion,” Pinterest said in its new report. I think this beautifully supports the notion that jade is the gemstone of 2025 (I have fierce opinions on this), with its hues complementary to dill green.

“Summer charm necklace” is the only jewelry search term cited in Pinterest’s report, but it’s one with rich implications—collecting charms is big business, and sentimental to boot. With so many variations available, charms are a sure bet for retailers to stock year-round.

For summer, though, I’d hedge my bets on floral and fruity items, a mix of retro and vintage, and ultrafeminine.
