Oroarezzo Seminars to Take on Tariffs and Gold Prices

Tariffs, gold prices, and Italian jewelry’s future—all this and more are on the agenda for the 44th edition of Oroarezzo, taking place May 10 to 13 in Arezzo, Italy.

Show organizer Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) has updated the product selection, revised the floor layout, and created a new theme for Oroarezzo in 2025, says Matteo Farsura, IEG’s global exhibition manager for jewelry and fashion. There will be seven exhibition areas, and 400 exhibitors are expected.

As a premier international gold and jewelry trade show, Oroarezzo allows exhibitors, buyers, and visitors to reflect on one of the most dynamic jewelry markets to date, IEG says. The annual event—held at the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi convention center—serves as a showcase for Italy’s design and manufacturing prowess and an opportunity to network with industry experts, Farsura adds.

Oroarezzo buyers
Buyers come to the annual Oroarezzo show to learn about Italian gold, educate themselves on key industry topics, and buy jewelry and equipment for the next year.

“We are pleased to welcome American buyers to Oroarezzo, a key event for U.S. wholesalers and distributors who seek excellence in Italian manufacturing,” Farsura says. “The show continues to play a strategic role in connecting international demand with the best of Made in Italy goldsmithing, appreciated especially for its high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customization services—true hallmarks of the event.”

This year, the theme for the show and its Premiere jewelry competition is “mirror of time”—how jewelry creates stories for its wearers and preserves memories for them. The theme was created by Beppe Angiolini, Oroarezzo’s art director and jury president.

“More than just a showcase, Oroarezzo is an international hub for innovation, where professionals can find inspiration, network, discover new trends, and stay ahead in an ever-evolving market,” says Farsura. “Under the concept of ‘shaping jewelry ideas,’ Oroarezzo serves as an ideal platform for exploring solutions to develop white-label collections and fully customized production.”

Oroarezzo’s educational component will include May 12’s signature talk titled “Maximalism and Competitiveness,” covering opportunities and challenges for the fashion accessories industry in 2025 and beyond, such as how rising gold prices and other costs could affect design.

Another not-to-be-missed seminar, Farsura says, is “Markets, Sustainability, Tariff Barrier, and Supply Chains: Analysis and Outlook for the Sector in 2025,” where economic experts and jewelers will give their insights on how U.S. tariffs and other economic issues may affect the jewelry industry.

Last year, Oroarezzo had 360 exhibitors and saw a 6.5% increase in visitors, who came to Arezzo from 109 countries. Attendance from outside Italy rose 12%, according to IEG.

The 2025 show includes a special event outside of the show floor, Farsura says. Exhibitors, buyers, and event partners can attend a May 12 performance of Puccini’s opera Gianni Schicchi, with accompaniment by the Orchestra of Tuscany, in Arezzo’s Petrarca Theater.
