Jeff Corey (pictured), owner of H.E. Murdock Co.—which does business as Day’s Jewelers—in Waterville, Maine, has been elected chair of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT).
Andrew Rickard, executive vice president of Rochester Diamonds and Gold, in Rochester, N.Y., was elected the group’s vice chair. He and Corey will both serve one-year terms.
Corey was first elected to JBT’s board of directors in 2017 and became its vice chair in 2024. He takes over the chair role from Brian Fleming.
Annie Doresca, chief financial and operating officer of Jewelers of America, and Matthijs Braakman, CEO of SmartWork Media, were appointed to the JBT executive committee.
The Providence, R.I.-based organization also elected the following new directors to its board for two-year terms: Thomas Davis, director of business development at Select Jewelry; Arien Gessner, president of Rio Grande; and Grant Hansen, chief information security officer for Jewelers Mutual Group.
