Moderator Nicole Fein, WJA’s communications chair, and panelists Sophia Pervez, founder and chief revenue officer of FormaNova, and Sanam Ghaneeian, AI and growth strategist at Girl Meets Code, look at how AI is transforming visual storytelling and asset creation, as well as facilitating practical workflows that can save time and improve output. They’ll also discuss how smaller teams can use AI to scale impact, and where to start and what to prioritize.

They’ll cover how emerging design concepts, responsible sourcing, and retail trends are creating new momentum for platinum jewelry. The conversation also will highlight what to watch for at the Las Vegas shows and how retailers can identify ideas and opportunities that feel both current and commercially relevant.

Sotheby’s High Jewelry Sale: May 12, 2 p.m. Geneva time (in person and online)

Sotheby’s presents a range of rare gemstones and collectible signed jewels in its High Jewelry auction in Geneva. Headlining the sale is an internally flawless 6.03 ct. fancy vivid blue diamond, while other notable lots include the 102.40 ct. Peacock of Ceylon sapphire and a 1950s necklace with superb-quality Colombian emeralds. There are also art deco pieces, a suite of jewels from Chopard’s collaboration with Rihanna, and iconic works by Cartier, Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

The 5.5 ct. Ocean Dream, the largest fancy vivid blue-green diamond ever recorded, leads Christie’s Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva. Other highlights include art deco stunners, an important selection of colored gemstones, natural pearls, and an assortment of Cartier creations.
