JCK Jewelry Agenda: Week Of Jan. 22

Share

Ready, set, shop! This week jewelry industry pros are either wrapping up their visits to Italy for the VicenzaOro show (JCK editor-in-chief Victoria Gomelsky is “going for the gold” there as we speak) or gearing up for the Tucson gem shows and Centurion in the United States. That could be some form of pregaming (we have some ideas for that) or literally touching down in Arizona before things really get going out there later this month.

And if you’re more of a vintage jewelry collector than a gem hunter? There’s an auction that’s right up your alley.

JCK highlighted a few of the most whimsical styles in this report, and don’t miss the wonderfully maximalist layered heart necklace if you’re shopping for Valentine’s Day.

You have two more days to hit VicenzaOro, Italy’s premier gold, jewelry and watch fair. This edition includes more than 1,300 exhibitors from 36 countries. As JCK contributing editor Karen Dybis noted in this article, the January event will follow a theme of helping the jewelry industry “discover more” according Marco Carniello, global exhibition director of jewelry and fashion for the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), which organizes the show. The goal is to help jewelers, manufacturers, and related businesses “explore the design and market trends that will influence the new season.” FOMO? Some of the events are being livestreamed.
