Britt’s Pick: Double Revival Ring By Parkford

Share

The toi et moi ring certainly seems to be the most exciting silhouette to talk about for an engagement ring currently, but its style extends beautifully into the fashion arena too.

There’s so much room for interpretation when a designer sets out to create a toi et moi, whether it’s the selection of gemstones or additional details like prongs, metal finish, and diamond accents—and that’s mostly if the plan is to keep it in the bridal category. Outside of engagement rings, a whole other world of detailed ornamentation exists (this applies to bridal as well, but these options would take the ring into a more “alternative” category).

One excellent example is this Double Revival ring from ParkFord.

To start, I love its heavy metal style: In luscious yellow gold, the ring features the concentric arcs that comprise one of ParkFord’s signature designs.

I’ve written about the Revival collection before—in October 2020, when it made its debut with a beautiful line of pendants, rings, and earrings. But the toi et moi hubbub has, well, revived a desire to dote on this style in particular, a very wearable, accessible answer to the high jewelry that so often exemplifies the two-stone style.

The ring is set with turquoise and emerald, a blue-green combination that is both timeless and very much of the moment. But it’s totally customizable, so the buyer can opt for their stones of choice.

I might select the two birthstones of my children. Or, if I were born in one of those months with two really good birthstones, making it difficult to choose one over the other, I’d go for both. A romantic gesture may be to gift a significant other with the pairing of the lovers’ birthstones, similar to the inspiration behind Megan Fox’s engagement ring.

Put that way, maybe this is a feasible choice for an engagement ring after all. It’s unexpected, hits notes of that bold gold style consumers have been leaning toward over the last several years, and definitely won’t be seen ad nauseam on hordes of other brides.

It seems the possibilities with this gorgeous piece are nearly endless.
