Boucheron Honors Founder in New High Jewelry Collection

Share

In 1893, Frédéric Boucheron chose 26 Place Vendôme in Paris—an early-18th-century building known as the Hôtel de Nocé—as the home of his namesake jewelry line, because of the way the light in the sun-drenched space hit his diamonds.

In that same place more than 130 years later, Claire Choisne—Boucheron’s creative director since 2011—unveiled her most personal work yet. Nom: Boucheron, Prénom: Frédéric, the 2026 high jewelry collection, is a contemporary portrait of the house’s pioneering founder.

Choisne, a designer known for blurring the lines between jewelry and high art, has distilled Frédéric Boucheron’s life into four chapters. The narrative begins with “The Address” (pictured at top), a convertible pendant/ring designed in tribute to the Hôtel de Nocé. Reinterpreting an octagonal motif from the archives, the necklace features a 10.01 ct. emerald-cut diamond on a detachable pendant that can transform into a ring.

Boucheron Spark

In “The Spark” (above), Choisne reimagines Boucheron’s iconic 1879 Question Mark necklace—the world’s first claspless design, originally created to liberate women from the constraints of stiff garments. This modern iteration is a geometric crescendo of eight significant diamonds, culminating in a spectacular 5.01 ct. kite-shape stone.

Boucheron Silhouette

The chapter titled “The Silhouette” pays homage to Frédéric’s upbringing as the son of a draper. More than seven meters (nearly 23 feet) of bezel-set diamonds flow over the shoulders like silk lace. Comprising 2,500 stones, this technical achievement can be worn six different ways, echoing the Boucheron founder’s belief that jewelry should adapt to the wearer, not the other way around.

Boucheron Untamed

Finally, “The Untamed” brings Frédéric’s obsession with “living nature” to life via an extra-long ivy branch. Eschewing idealized flora, Choisne utilizes rock crystal fruits and trembling leaves to create a startling realistic piece that feels deeply alive.

Following its Paris debut, the collection will travel to China in March and Japan in April before its presentation at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
