Phillips has appointed Benoît Repellin (pictured) its worldwide head of jewelry. He will be based in Geneva.

Repellin joined Phillips in 2021 as head of jewelry for Europe, before stepping in as the interim worldwide head in the second half of 2022.

During this time, he oversaw the sales of a 4.05 ct. fancy intense pink oval diamond for $1.9 million and a 26.12 ct. brilliant cut D flawless diamond for $2.5 million.

He previously worked at Sotheby’s for 10 years, eventually serving as worldwide head of jewelry and senior director.

Phillips said its jewelry auction sales rose by 75% in 2021.
