Women’s Jewelry Association to Stage National ‘Jewelry Night Out’ Events

So what if the fashion industry has abandoned Fashion’s Night Out, the glitzy nationwide shopping event conceived in 2009 to help boost the economy? The Women’s Jewelry Association is breathing diamond-dusted life into the clever idea initiated by Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and will be taking it to a more sparkling level this September.

In an effort to drive membership and promote awareness of the organization, the WJA is kicking off a series of nationwide events dubbed WJA’s Jewelry Night Out as a way for members and would-be members to connect and network, and continue celebrating the organization’s 30-year anniversary.

Events will take place in 12 cities across the country on Thursday, Sept. 12, and will include a one-time discounted membership rate of $99 for new and renewing members—valid only on the night of the event—in addition to goody bags for attendees. Participants will also be able to stay in touch through social media by way of the hash tag #WJANightOut.

While each chapter’s events will differ, interested persons in the New York City area are invited to attend the WJA Metropolitan Chapter’s event from 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. at the Gilbert Albert boutique at? 43 West 57th Street for cocktails, snacks, networking, and swag bags. The registration fee is $45.

For more information about other chapters’ events, log onto the WJA website or call 212-268-2722.
