Yun Yang Joins Jocalio as Head of Product, Merchandising

Industry veteran Yun Yang (pictured) has joined Jocalio, the consumer marketing platform for independent jewelers, as its new head of product and merchandising.

Yang has 20 years’ experience as jewelry merchandiser and buyer. She has also worked in international markets including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Jocalio, Yang was the vice president of merchandising at Judith Ripka. She also worked as chief merchandising officer for Lightbox Jewelry, De Beers’ lab-grown diamond brand. She has served as vice president, executive director of merchandising at Ippolita; senior director of merchandising and branding at John Hardy; and manager of merchandising and planning for David Yurman.

“When I met the Jocalio team, I thought, ‘What a breath of fresh air! Someone is finally utilizing data when creating collections!’ ” Yang said in a statement.

Val Katayev, founder and CEO of Jocalio, said in the same statement that Yang’s appointment represented a “milestone” for his company.

Last year, Jocalio landed on Inc.’s list of fastest-growing small businesses.
