With her new lab-grown diamond ring collection about to launch at Jared, Pnina Tornai says she sees weddings and the celebration of marriage in all of its facets growing larger and more meaningful—a timely moment for her to bring Pnina lab-created diamonds into the world.

The Pnina Tornai One lab-created diamond collection launches Wednesday at U.S. Jared stores as well as online. The collection includes 25 rings ranging in price from $1,299 to $18,999. Jared even named the cut of these lab-grown diamonds in the collection after Tornai, something that the Israeli-born fashion designer best known for her work on Say Yes to the Dress says is a career highlight.

“It’s a huge privilege to work with these stones,” the well-known bridal-gown and jewelry designer says. “My brides are usually looking at Pnina dresses because they’re larger than life. Now, I can offer them the jewelry of their dreams as well.”

Fashion designer Pnina Tornai says her Jared partnership has sparked new creativity in her, and she appreciates being a part of a couple’s love story toward marriage at every step of the way, including the proposal.

Tornai started working with Jared in 2020, and the partnership came at a critical time for her, as she needed a boost in creativity during the pandemic, she says.

“The only thing that cannot be postponed or canceled is love,” Tornai says. “We’re in a new era. Couples want to celebrate their love. They know it’s the right person, and they want to make sure they’re having the wedding of their dreams.”

Having one more moment before the purchase of a wedding dress with a couple was one of the reasons Tornai says she wanted to work with Jared on her jewelry collection, which spans from engagement rings to men’s wedding bands to fashion jewelry.

“I’m involved in every little detail, and I thank Jared for being so understanding and going above and beyond to make my dreams into reality,” Tornai says. “I’m obsessed with jewelry, so it was easier for me to plunge into this world.”

Ann Grimmett, vice president of merchandising at Jared, says in an email interview that the company wanted to grow its partnership with Tornai, and this felt like the right next step.

“The expansion of our One by Pnina Tornai collection into lab-created diamonds gives our guests access to bigger stones with the same signature Pnina Tornai design aesthetic. We are certain this new collection will help celebrate more love at Jared,” Grimmett says.

Tornai, who added Queen of Bling as part of her brand, says working with lab-grown diamonds on this latest collection has been exciting as well.

This 2-carat oval engagement ring is one of the signature looks in the new Pnina Tornai One lab-created diamond collaboration with Jared ($12,999).

“It’s human-made magic,” Tornai says. “Natural and lab-grown diamonds are indistinguishable from one another with the naked eye.… I’m petite, so I love everything to be bigger and dramatic. So, I love that lab-grown diamonds can be dramatic as well as sustainable and beautiful.”

Tornai says knowing that love survived the pandemic lockdowns and quarantines gave her hope for all couples. She says she has seen the time between the engagement and wedding go from a year or two to a matter of months, and she understands why people in love feel that rush.

“For couples, COVID has done a lot of good because we had to be close in our homes with the person we chose to live with [and it] made us realize very, very quickly whether it was the right person or the wrong person. There was no in the middle,” Tornai says.

“Spending COVID with my husband, I met a complete other person because we were together 24 hours a day. I was lucky because I really found out he was my best friend in the world,” she says.
