Tiffany & Co. and street art wouldn’t seem to be a natural match.
And yet the famed retailer has recruited four local artists—Danielle Dimston, Ellis Gallagher, Danny Roberts of Igor + Andre, and Natasha Law—to create original artwork on the hoarding surrounding the storefront of the soon-to-open Tiffany boutique in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. The store is due to open in September.
Dimston’s creation premiered July 16 and showed her interpretation of love. On July 27, Gallagher debuted a work filled with his iconic raindrop-shaped characters, inspired by the five categories of love defined by the ancient Greeks.
Roberts’ and Law’s contributions are coming in August.
