Jewelers for Children Announces 2022 JFC Day

JFC Day is Sept. 24.

This year, Jewelers for Children’s JFC Day will be Saturday, Sept. 24.

In its fifth year, JFC Day asks the industry to come together in celebration of its success in providing support to organizations that benefit children facing life-threatening abuse, neglect, and catastrophic illness, among other challenges.

Over the last several years JFC Day has grown with support from retailers across the country, including Day’s Jewelers, Reeds Jewelers, and Fred Meyer Jewelers, who run promotions in their stores. The day also gets support from JFC charities, such as the National CASA/GAL Association for Children, the staff and volunteers of which visit jewelers to give thanks.

“JFC Day is a day for a true celebration,” said Alan Zimmer, JFC board chair, in a statement. “For nearly 25 years the industry has supported JFC and allowed us to donate more than $60 million to help thousands of children.”

Anyone can participate in JFC Day, and those interested are asked to use their social media presence to promote the day, while suppliers and retailers are asked to reach out to their customers to educate them about JFC.

JFC is offering a planning guide, which includes ideas on how to participate, social media materials, sample emails, press releases, and videos, on its website, jewelersforchildren.org.
