Samsung is beating Apple to the punch by introducing its first smartwatch in September, according to a report in The Korea Times.
The South Korean newspaper quoted a company executive as saying the smartwatch, Galaxy Gear will be introduced Sept. 4 at a Berlin fair.
Samsung’s watch “won’t have a flexible display,” the executive said, but “will enhance and enrich the current mobile experience in many ways.”
Apple is also said to be readying a smartwatch. A survey said these new devices could take market share from the traditional watch business.
