Los Angeles–based colored gemstone brand Omi Privé has named Rebecca Shukan (pictured) its new director of sales and development.
Shukan will be responsible for strengthening relationships with Omi Privé’s retail partners and expanding brand awareness and support through colored stone and sales training.
Shukan joins the Omi Privé team after a long career in the jewelry industry. She was most recently the director of the Jewelry Career Readiness Initiative for Diamond Council of America (DCA). She has also been a private jeweler.
Shukan has held leadership positions in the Women’s Jewelry Association of Los Angeles, the Junior League of Pasadena, and the Pasadena Symphony. She is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the University of Wisconsin.
In a statement, Omi Privé president and designer Niveet Nagpal said that Shukan’s “background in colored gemstones as well as her experience in sales strategies and training is going to be a great asset.”
