On July 1, the Plumb Club elected a new president, vice president, and board member.
Michael Lerche of Goldstar Jewellery was elected president of the Englewood, N.J.–based group, replacing Jonathan Cohen of IB Goodman Company, who had served the maximum three years. Lerche was previously the club’s vice president.
At the board meeting, A.J. Tosyali of Benchmark was elected vice president, replacing Lerche.
Pranav Shah of KGS Jewels was elected as a new board member of the club, replacing Sam Sanberg, who reached his term limit after serving for seven years.
The following board members will continue as Plumb Club directors: Michael Langhammer of Quality Gold, who also serves as treasurer for the executive committee; Roger Forman of Marathon Company, who is also secretary of the executive committee; Victor Weinman of Original Designs/ODI, who is also pavilion chairman, executive committee; Corina Bhasin of F.D. Worldwide; Jeffrey Cohen of Citizen Watch America; Jonathan Cohen of IB Goodman; and Roopam Jain of Jewelmark/Simply Diamonds.
“I look forward to continuing and building on the strategic vision and leadership that Jonathan Cohen has provided for the past three years,” said Leche in a statement. “With new strategic initiatives that we will be implementing and the building of our new state of the art pavilion for JCK Las Vegas 2019 at the Sands, the next year will be an exciting one for the Plumb Club members and our retail clients.”
In January, the Plumb Club, which represents America’s leading jewelry, diamond, and watch industry suppliers, announced that it had reached a deal with JCK Las Vegas to continue exhibiting at the trade show through 2025. The Plumb Club has been associated with JCK for 26 years.
