Pandora To Open New York City Business Hub

Pandora has said that it will open a new U.S. business hub in Manhattan in September 2022.

The Danish charm maker’s current hub is in Baltimore, and its logistical hub is located in Columbia, Md.

Both will remain open for the near future, the company says.

“At Pandora we believe in flexible ways of working,” says Luciano Rodembusch, president, Pandora North America, via email. “We will have strong talent in both hubs and believe collaboration between the locations will be crucial for the future. At this stage we are not aiming to name any one of the hubs more important than the other. Our leadership team and all functions will be present in both New York and Baltimore.”

Pandora will set up a temporary New York City hub this fall and then move to a permanent space in the summer of 2023. The new office will support approximately 150 full-time corporate employees.

A company statement said that a New York hub “increases Pandora’s ability to recruit world-class talent as the brand continues its long-term growth ambition in the U.S. market.”

Pandora’s U.S. business reached more than $1 billion in sales in 2021, it said. Its long-term goal is to double its U.S. revenue over 2019.

In a statement, Rodembusch, who joined the company last year, said, “We are also committed to increasing our investment in the New York retail industry—adding to our existing business footprint, which includes nine store locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.”
