Nada Ghazal Jewelry Adds Edgy Elegance to London Flagship Store

Jewelry designer Nada Ghazal’s new London boutique embodies how she operates her business—she looks for interesting contrasts. Elegant yet bold, feminine yet edgy, contemporary and yet still timeless.

The resulting retail space at 4 Pont Street in Belgravia serves as a flagship for the brand, which is now headquartered in London. The boutique opened officially July 25 and has a grand-opening celebration planned for September, Ghazal says.

“I found our location after more than a year of searching and I knew this was the right place to fulfill my vision. I wanted a location that was central, yet at the same time had a sense of community,” Ghazal says.

Ghazal also wanted a place that gives visitors an experience merging east and west in hospitality as well as in architecture.

Nada Ghazal jewelry pieces get glass-covered displays amid the colorful background of the new London store.

“It had to be small enough to be intimate, but spacious enough for me to host clients and give them a sense of home—bringing Lebanese hospitality to a British setting,” Ghazal says. “I also wanted a space where I could host other artists and key opinion leaders in bespoke events that we present to the community.”

Ghazal wants the London boutique to let clients feel like they are on a journey from the moment they step into the space. From the front, they can see a row of glass domes, which make each piece of jewelry inside look like it belongs in a gallery or museum.

Clients then travel through arched doorways and under pendant lights made with brass crucibles, which previously were used to melt gold. Next, the hospitality areas await, with Lebanese sweets and traditional mint, rose, and orange blossom drinks.

“I wanted the store to be a true reflection of the brand’s essence. Our colors are red and pink, and we represented these in the bold, prominent cabinets and sofa that contrast the while walls, cream terrazzo floors and carpets, and the brass mirrors and tables,” Ghazal says.

The brand’s signature colors, red and pink, are found throughout the new Nada Ghazal London boutique.

The cabinets and space were designed by Karim Bekdache Studios and executed in Lebanon by Ghandour Semaan. “Karim truly respects the space he designs and worked on creating the cultural blend that represented my experiences,” Ghazal says.

Ghazal founded the her brand in 2003 in her home country of Lebanon. She debuted its first collection in December that year, and opened her first store in Beirut in 2004. The business was planning a second Beirut location and looking for international wholesale relationships when tragedy struck.

“The boutique that was due to open was partially destroyed when the revolution started,” Ghazal says. “The port explosion in 2020 destroyed the flagship in full, in addition to our workshop and one of our points of sale.”

The brand rebuilt, and its London expansion feels like it is the next right step, Ghazal says.

“I am in love with the whole space, but I must admit, my open office is one of my favorite spots because I get to see the whole space through the arches,” Ghazal says. “My desk was a bespoke piece handcrafted in wood and mother-of-pearl by the artist Georges Mohasseb from Studio Manda. It is also the place I connect with customers on a personal level and learn more about them.”
