Marla Aaron and Wolf Deliver the Baby Everything Jewelry Box

Share

Jewelry designer Marla Aaron has lent her singular vision on how jewelry and other keepsakes should be stored and displayed to Wolf, partnering with the British luxury brand on a special edition of her Everything Box.

“There is room for everything you love, want to remember, or want to keep safe. It is, truly, an everything box—just ‘baby,’” Aaron says. “It’s a personal vault for stories, a home for the charms, locks, and pieces that matter most.”

With her Baby Everything Box for Wolf, Aaron shares her insights on how jewelry and special items can be arranged. One side of the box has a wall of mechanical brass hooks for hanging necklaces, chains, or rings. The other side has an envelope-shaped attachment where precious papers—perhaps a love note, a child’s drawing, or information on a piece of jewelry—could be kept.

Additional interior details include a mirror, two removable trays, and two hidden compartments “for whatever needs to be secret,” Aaron says.

The Baby Everything Box ($1,200) comes in five colors, allowing people to select one that matches their interior design or just for fun.

“The Everything Boxes are for everybody. If you love jewelry and want to see everything all at once but beautifully organized, it’s perfect for you,” says the New York City–based designer.

The Baby Everything Box, which is available on both Wolf’s and Aaron’s websites, comes in five colors—red, pink, burgundy, navy, and celadon. It retails for $1,200.

Wolf was an ideal collaborator for the Baby Everything Box, Aaron says, because the company, founded in 1834, understands heritage techniques, storytelling through design, and smart details. For example, the interior uses Wolf’s patented LusterLoc material, which prevents jewelry kept inside the box from tarnishing.

Inspired by her own antique sewing box, Marla Aaron created the Everything Box and now the Baby Everything Box for Wolf.

Aaron had her original inspiration for what would become the Marla Aaron Everything Box around 2019, when she opened a showroom.

“I approached the creation of our first jewelry box the way I think about everything: What do I want from a jewelry box?” she recalls. “With our showroom, I was confronted with the need to actually display our jewelry. The traditional jewelry displays in those coffin-like glass cases did not allow our customers to play with the jewelry. If they couldn’t play with it, how could they fully understand it?”

She found an answer in the antique sewing box she personally owns. “In it, I have sewing and knitting and all kinds of weird arts and crafts stuff stored. I love this box, and I realized that some version of that box reflected everything I wanted our customers to experience when they encountered our jewelry.

A fun detail on the Baby Everything Box is the adjustable side handle where rings can be kept.

“People loved it instantly,” Aaron says of the reaction to her custom display boxes. “We have gone on to make them for several of our stores around the world.”

Clients soon started asking how they could purchase the box, so Aaron developed a similar version that was ideal for home use and named it the Everything Box.

“I call it the Everything Box because you can literally store anything and everything in it. It’s for the precious and the worthless little tidbits of our life that we feel the need to store—jewelry, love letters, anything,” says Aaron.

“The Everything Box is ample because one of the things I heard when I spoke to our customer is ‘My jewelry box isn’t big enough.’ This one, we think, is big enough.”
