Jewelers 24 Karat Club of SoCal Announces Awards Honorees

The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California has announced its annual honorees for 2017, to be recognized at the club’s 73rd annual Dinner Dance and Gala, October 14, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Doug Hucker, CEO of the American Gem Trade Association.

And the Excellence in Service Award will go to two parties: Avi Raz of A&Z Pearls in Los Angeles, and the Bhindi Family of Bhindi Jewellers in Artesia, Calif.

Karen Signorino, president of the organization, said in a statement: “Doug, Avi, and the Bhindi family have made a tremendous impact on our industry, and exemplify a high standard of professionalism, business ethics and a commitment to excellence, true to the 24 Karat Club’s mission.”

She added, “They are outstanding professionals and individuals, and this is an honor that is well-deserved.”

The Jewelers 24 Karat Club was founded in 1944 and promotes ethical practices and the integrity of the jewelry industry.
