Melee the Show Paris: Oct. 1–5

Catherine Regout, curator at the DIVA Museum in Antwerp, hosts a Gemflix webinar titled “Rings That Rock—Power, Love & The Making of a Symbol.” Inspired by the “Rings That Rock” exhibition that opened at the museum earlier this year, Regout will discuss objects ranging from medieval signet rings to contemporary jewelry art, how diamond rings have functioned as symbols of political authority, religious devotion, romantic commitment, and personal empowerment. From royal jewels and historical power rings to contemporary styles that challenge convention, visitors are invited to look beyond the sparkle and reconsider the cultural value of one of the world’s most iconic objects.

Patek Philippe Grand Exhibition in Milan: Opens Oct. 2

The next “Watch Art” Grand Exhibition from the Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe opens in Milan’s historic CityOval building, formerly Palazzo delle Scintille, located at Piazza Sei Febbraio, on Friday. Open through Oct. 18, the event—which is free and open to the public—invites visitors to take a deep dive into the world of Geneva’s last independent, family-owned watch manufacturer. Reservations are recommended.
