Pure Earth, a global nonprofit dedicated to cleaning up pollution, including at gold mines, is honoring three women at its free virtual Force of Nature luncheon on Tuesday, in honor of International Women’s Day. Among them is goldsmith and jewelry designer Christina Malle, who is being recognized for her advocacy for a traceable and transparent jewelry supply chain and support of Pure Earth’s work helping artisanal and small-scale gold miners go mercury free.
