The country’s finest jewelers are descending on Louisville, Ky., this week for the start of the American Gem Society Conclave. Keynote speakers include tennis legend Andre Agassi; Liz Forkin Bohannon, founder of the ethical fashion brand Sseko Designs and the author of Beginner’s Pluck: Build Your Life of Purpose; and Owen Morse and Jon Wee, the comedy juggling team who work as the Passing Zone. Plus, there will be all the insightful and inspiring education for which Conclave is known.

WJA Foundation Scholarships: By May 15 (online)

The deadline to apply for a variety of scholarships and grants offered by the Women’s Jewelry Association Foundation has been extended to May 15. Designed to support the professional growth and educational endeavors of women in the jewelry and watch industries, the opportunities include the Radiant Minds Technology Scholarship, the WJA Diversity Scholarships for GIA Education, the Cindy Edelstein Jewelry Design Scholarship, and the Gabriel Love Foundation Scholarship. Their application deadline is May 15, while the deadline to apply for the Helene Fortunoff Women in Retail Scholarship is now June 16.
