Drake Debuts Custom Blinged-Out Rolex Daytona

Drake has a new favorite possession, and he says it’s “part of history.”

The Toronto-born hip-hop superstar took to Instagram on Saturday to show off his one-of-a-kind Rolex Daytona from the Swiss watchmaker.

“Today I received the most important thing I have ever had the pleasure of owning,” Drake wrote on Instagram to his 139 million followers.

Known as the Ice Gradient Daytona, the factory-made timepiece is extravagant and eye-catching, with the bracelet covered in baguette-cut diamonds that transition into blue sapphires, creating the eponymous gradient effect. The bezel is also set with sapphires, while diamonds cover portions of the watch in a pavé setting.

The back of the watch is engraved in blue enamel with “Freeze the world,” a line from the outro of the track “Make Them Know,” from his appropriately titled Iceman album (he also name-checks Rolex in the song).

The watch was made as a celebration of 2026 for Drake, whose three albums released earlier this year (Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour) made him the first artist to occupy the Billboard 200’s Top 3 positions simultaneously.

To ward off imitators, Drake attached a warning to his post: “Please do not get your local jeweler to recreate.… Thank you to the wonderful team at Rolex for blessing me with such a generational ticker.”

A one-of-one factory creation is notable given Rolex’s usually restrained approach to bespoke work.

Timepiece dealer and well-known watch spotter Mike Nouveau weighed in on his TikTok channel: “This has gotta be the highest MSRP Rolex has ever produced,” said Nouveau. “God knows what kind of strings Drake had to pull to get this thing made.”

Drake has a known affinity for Rolex watches. He once boasted in a song that he owned 143 Rolexes, a figure that has become part of watch-collector lore, though it has never been independently confirmed.

Earlier this year, the rapper’s GMT-Master II was sold for $500,000.

The Ice Gradient now joins Drake’s collection as his most extravagant watch yet, and likely his most valuable.

Rolex has not commented on its value or the transaction.
