François Delage, the former head of De Beers Jewellers and its Forevermark brand, has joined GIA’s board of governors.

Delage served as global CEO of Forevermark from 2007 to 2009, and then CEO of De Beers Jewellers from 2009 to 2020. Following that, he founded and headed Adorisa Group, a fine jewelry brand. Most recently, he served as the CEO of high-end real estate business Barnes International.

He got his start at LVMH, where he became president of Louis Vuitton, for the Asia-Pacific region.

Lisa Locklear, chair of the GIA board of governors, said in a statement that Delage has “international experience and deep understanding of luxury and jewelry markets and consumers.”
