David Webb Beefs Up Management, Sales Team

David Webb, the famed American jeweler that was purchased earlier this year by investment firm Middle West Partners, has announced a series of promotions and new hires on its leadership team.

David Stout (pictured at left) has been named sales director, responsible for revenue worldwide. He formerly was regional sales manager. Stout joined David Webb in 2018.

Jeff Preolo has been promoted to chief financial officer, from vice president of finance. Preolo joined David Webb in April 2023, after stints at Ferragamo, Proenza Schouler, and Lafayette 148.

Levi Higgs was bumped up to head of archives and brand heritage. Higgs, who began working for David Webb in 2013 as archivist and social media manager, built and manages its Instagram feed.

David Benavides has joined the brand as head of revenue operations. Benavides previously served as vice president of retail for Rhone, director of retail sales and development for Cody, and director of global sales and strategy for David Yurman.

Meredith Austin Brown was named regional sales manager for the West Coast. She previously worked at Tiffany & Co, Martin Katz, and Harry Winston.

Lindsey Klonoski has been appointed regional operations manager for the West Coast, after spending nine years as the boutique director for Los Angeles retailer Broken English.

Lori Prestridge was tapped as regional sales manager for Texas. Prior to coming to David Webb, Prestridge worked for 24 years at Neiman Marcus.

Barry Selnick has been appointed sales adviser for California, following a 29-year career selling jewelry for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.

In addition, Amber Ahmed has been named general manager of the Middle East and North Africa regions, based in Dubai.

“My first mission has been to shape the future of David Webb by investing in extraordinary talent,” said James Weiss, who was appointed the company’s CEO in January, in a statement. “These appointments are just the beginning of a broader vision to elevate every facet of the brand from our operations to our client experience.”
