David Hurley (pictured), who currently serves as executive vice president of Watches of Switzerland USA, has been promoted to deputy CEO of the Watches of Switzerland Group.

He will also serve as president of the Watches of Switzerland Group, North America.

Hurley has spearheaded Watches of Switzerland’s U.S. expansion, which began in 2017 with its acquisition of Mayors Jewelers. Its U.S. fleet now includes 7 Watches of Switzerlands, 13 mono-brand showrooms, 12 Mayors Jewelers, and 3 Betteridge Jewelers stores.

In conjunction with Hurley’s appointment, Craig Bolton, who currently serves as Watches of Switzerland’s U.K. executive director, will be named president, Watches of Switzerland Group, U.K. and Europe. Current CEO Brian Duffy will continue in that role.

In a statement, Watches of Switzerland said it plans to expand beyond its two core markets of the United States and United Kingdom.

“Hurley’s proven track record in developing new markets will continue to prove invaluable to the Group’s global growth goals,” the statement said.

In Watches of Switzerland’s third quarter of fiscal year 2022 (ended Jan. 30), its U.S. revenue was up 44.6% compared to the prior year, and 72.3% over two years prior.
