Christie’s Names New London Watch Specialist

Christie’s has appointed Tom Heap senior specialist for watches, based in London.

Heap joins Christie’s after five years at archrival Sotheby’s, where he served as a watch specialist and later head of the watch department. Prior to that, he was a public relations executive and a watch specialist at secondhand site Watchfinder.

Heap’s appointment reflects Christie’s’ “continued expansion of the category,” according to a statement from the auction house.
