Three-store Chicago-based jeweler C.D. Peacock has appointed Qi Holtzman (pictured) its vice president of client engagement and experience.

In her new role, Holtzman will focus on cultivating relationships with the store’s most loyal clientele through personalization, premium journeys, and curated experiences.

Qi is married to Steven Holtzman, the retailer’s vice chairman. In February, C.D. Peacock announced that Qi and Steven were assuming leadership of the company, taking over from Steven’s parents, Seymour and Evelyn Holtzman. The Holtzmans purchased the business, considered one of the oldest retailers in Chicago, in 1993.

A former dancer, producer, choreographer, and educator, Qi initiated and manages C.D. Peacock’s sponsorship and ongoing partnership with the Joffrey Ballet.

Qi holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance and education from the Beijing Dance Academy in China and a Master of Fine Arts in dance, choreography, and production from the California Institute of the Arts. She also won the Wen Hua, given by China’s Culture and Tourism Ministry, to honor outstanding stage performances.

C.D. Peacock has been beefing up its executive suite recently. Since the transfer of leadership, it has promoted Olivier Stip to president and named Adam Woitkowski vice president of retail.

“Qi’ s artistic, multicultural, multilingual, and international background makes her the perfect person to reinforce and expand our relationships with the local communities,” Stip said in a statement.

C.D. Peacock plans to open a new 20,000-square-foot flagship store in fall 2023.
