Britt’s Pick: State Property’s Edessa Mist Drop Earrings

Share

It’s that time of year when we start infusing more color into our wardrobes. Sure, we’ve been dabbling in florals for the past couple of months, but once these temperatures consistently break 70 degrees, it feels safe for the brightest and boldest shades to come out and play.

That goes for our accessories, too. While I can’t help but picture State Property’s colorful earrings here popping against a black ensemble, the look really goes next level if that black were to turn, say, neon yellow. What could be more fit for summer?

There’s a brightness to this pair, which is one of the Singapore-based brand’s Edessa designs, yet also a real softness. The ombré pattern of pink, purple, and blue sapphires flows like a stream, delicately curving along a high arc that falls in two rows down the ears. The shape of the earrings lends a free-spiritedness, albeit an incredibly luxurious and elegant one. Nearly seven carats of sapphires weave in and out of S-shape links on the earrings, curling like ribbon.

The pair is a colorful addition to State Property’s Arcane collection, inspired by the opulence of the Byzantine Empire and its blending of cultures and materials. Scalloped details and wavy lines dominate the collection, with a mix of colorful gemstone jewelry, diamonds, and solid gold. This particular combination of colors has been named Mist, and for those who love the silhouette, two other versions are available—one with alternating emeralds and diamonds, the other in all diamonds.

Also available are a tennis necklace and an eternity ring featuring the vivid Mist color combination. Imagine how they would brighten up an outfit, any time of year, when worn as a suite—positively radiant, wouldn’t you say?
