Recent celebrity engagement news has reignited my interest in diamond rings—and renewed my aspirations of adding a new one to my personal collection.
In my wildest wishes, I’d select this killer piece from Fie Isolde, though it’s much more likely to be found on the finger of the next celebrity bride than mine. Still, a girl can dream.
It’s almost hard to tell where the stones of the organic-looking Voyage ring begin and where its metal setting ends. Everything appears as one piece—if a natural occurrence, that would be just about the luckiest discovery someone has ever made.

“I created this design to reinterpret a classic three-stone ring while maintaining a strong brand DNA,” says designer Fie Isolde. “The piece has weight and presence but still feels timeless. The trapezoid side stones taper naturally into the band, creating a balanced, architectural line. I kept the back open to ensure comfort while allowing light to pass through the stones, enhancing their brilliance.”
That brand DNA Isolde refers to involves her signature sculpted metalwork, achieved by working directly in wax, hand-sculpting with a wax pen. The designer tells JCK this particular style has been a favorite among clients since its introduction, highlighting a move away from “traditional, expected settings and gravitating toward pieces that feel more personal and design-led.
“There’s a growing appreciation for jewelry that feels considered and original, rather than purely traditional and classic,” Isolde says. “Clients want their pieces to reflect their own taste and story, not simply follow convention. A hand-sculpted, original design carries a sense of intention—it has presence and character, and stands apart without relying solely on the size of the stone.”
Isolde’s Voyage ring, however, has both size and substance in its favor.
