The content of this blog could practically be made up of stories about initial pendants, and that is a very good thing.
Never do I see a new letter offering and groan, worn out by its frequency—to tire of initial jewelry is impossible. (I guess unless one were to be wearing the initial of an ex-lover, that might do the trick.)
But people amass vast collections of initial jewelry, either of their own letters or a loved one’s, and it’s so fun and interesting to see the pieces laid out together (you can find examples on Instagram) to compare how each version differs from the next.
Some differences are subtle, but that won’t be the case with the newest collection from Italian jeweler Bea Bongiasca.
Fresh off the release of her B Colour collection, where the artist plays even more with her signature bright enamel by mixing contrasting shades in bicolor styles, comes B Colour 2.
Taking that same approach to having fun with color, this extension offers new designs—including the initials—in exciting color combinations, not just in bicolor but with three, sometimes even four, different colors together.
“I started with bicolor combinations. Once we perfected this effect, it then allowed me to go more deeply into creating the tricolor and then the multiple colors,” said Bongiasca in a statement on the collection.
While the newest collection features a range of pieces, it’s the initials that mark an even further departure for the designer, who is offering initials for the first time. “We saw an increased demand for personalized pieces and noticed the gap in the market for beautiful and affordable enamel initials,” Bongiasca said.
The phrase “too much of a good thing” certainly does not apply here—this is another offering customers will love for their personal jewelry boxes.
