Britt’s Pick: Enamel Aldrin Earrings By State Property

Share

A couple of weeks ago here on On Your Market, we were talking ribbons—jewelry with frills, ruffles, and flounce.

It was in my search for pieces that fit the aforementioned description that I came across these. Dubbed the Aldrin earrings, this weaving, flowing, rippling pair comes from Singapore jeweler State Property.

Four rows of wavy lines—though as if a trick on the eye, it looks like more—nest together in a meandering display, with pavé diamonds sparkling on the top and bottom, appearing to transition seamlessly with enamel at the middle.

They’re large on the ear and long—at more than 3 inches—dangling above the shoulder, grazing somewhere below mid-neck. They swing freely, but as one: The individual weaving lines hold static, keeping the movement simple and uncomplicated.

The earrings are a part of State Property’s Voyager collection, a line inspired by the desire to seek with references to explorers from different time periods and locales. This particular pair references space exploration— named for Buzz Aldrin, the American engineer, astronaut, and fighter pilot. In his career, Aldrin made three space walks and, along with Neil Armstrong, was one of the first two men to set foot on the moon.

Choose from white, black, or pink enamel. In bone white, you have a chic, glossy, silvery effect; in jet black, a contrasting, more dramatic look, and a style that looks quite mod. In taffy pink, you’ll never have more fun—and the bright option really speaks to the current market for popping enamel jewelry.

You can see the earrings displayed in a video on the brand’s website—always an incredibly helpful feature for those either purchasing online or inquiring from afar.
