Share

The American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) has elected designer and educator Alan Revere (pictured) as its president for the next year. He succeeds Paul Klecka, who held the position since 2021.

The group also elected Adam Neeley as vice president, Merry-Lee Rae as treasurer, and Jennifer Rabe Morin as secretary.

A longtime member of AJDC, Revere previously served as its president in 2006. Revere is an award-winning jewelry designer and author of seven books on jewelry. From 1979 to 2017, he was director of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts. His Facebook group, Let’s Make Professional Jewelry, has 30,000 members in 162 countries.

He can be heard on JCK’s podcast here.

AJDC is an educational nonprofit that aims to raise awareness and appreciation of original fine jewelry.

“AJDC is on a roll right now,” said Revere in a statement. “The AJDC Jose Hess Design Award was a huge success and drew over 90 entries. The contest was followed up by a red carpet and cash prizes for the winners during a gala awards ceremony in Tucson.”

Three new members were inducted into AJDC: Kit Carson, Chris Davies, and Rosario Garcia.
