2026 Oscars Jewelry: 10 Looks We Loved

Share

The 98th Academy Awards had a new category, some old comedy routines, and a nail-biting lineup of blockbuster films competing for the top prizes—creating a major moment on Sunday for celebrity jewelry with big fancy diamonds, unusual colored gemstones, and revered jewelry designers like James de Givenchy getting their flowers on- and offstage.

The top Oscars were split between One Battle After Another, which won six awards including best picture, best director, and best adapted screenplay (both for Paul Thomas Anderson), and Sinners, which—much to the crowd’s delight—took home best actor for the sinfully talented Michael B. Jordan, plus three other prizes, including best original screenplay for director Ryan Coogler and best cinematography for Autumn Durald Arkapaw (that category’s first-ever female winner).

Best-dressed accolades for the night—and the whole awards season—go to One Battle’s Teyana Taylor, who wore a black-and-white Chanel gown embroidered with her children’s names and a suite of Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry. She also wins best attitude, for her support of her fellow actors and her excitement over her film’s multiple victories.

Key trends from the Dolby Theatre included face-flattering chokers like One Battle costar Chase Infiniti’s De Beers London Metamorphosis Summer diamond necklace; elaborate earrings such as Demon Hunter Rei Ami in David Webb’s Sky Lantern earrings with emerald drops and fluted amethyst beads; and men’s brooches, with a sterling example from JCK fave Kieran Culkin: a two-piece Sauvereign brooch that was truly one of a kind with its hand-engraving and guilloché finishing.

Here are some of JCK’s favorite jewelry looks from the red carpet and Oscar stage.

Social media was ablaze with conversation around Byrne’s Oscar look. Nominated for best actress for her role in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Byrne wore a sculptural torque necklace from Taffin featuring a 22.58 ct. fancy yellow-brown pear-shape Desert Diamond and an Arizona Blue ceramic and 18k rose gold ring centering a 16.54 ct. fancy deep brown-yellow Ashoka-cut diamond sourced from Botswana.

In a statement, Taffin designer James de Givenchy said, “It’s always gratifying to see a piece leave the studio and take on a life of its own. Jewelry is meant to be worn and experienced, not simply kept in a case. I can’t imagine a more wonderful way to showcase it to the world than on a beautiful actress like Rose Byrne on the Oscars red carpet.”
