The Plumb Club Elects 2026-27 Board, Names Steven Lerche President

Share

The Plumb Club has elected Goldstar LLC’s Steven Lerche as president, making him the youngest person ever to lead the 43-year-old jewelry supplier organization.

The election took place during the club’s general membership meeting earlier this summer, where members selected the 2026–27 board of directors and executive committee. The organization noted that the election reflected a focus on diversity, inclusivity, and bringing younger talent into leadership positions.

Lerche joined Goldstar in 2017, becoming the company’s president in 2024. The design and manufacturing firm describes itself as the world’s largest producer of machine-set bands.

Ray Mastoloni of Mastoloni Pearls will serve as vice president, moving up from the role of treasurer. Debbie Azar of Gemological Science International was elected treasurer, while Jeff Weinman of ODI/Tache was elected secretary.

Directors continuing on the Plumb Club board include Michael Langhammer of Quality Gold, Moss Makhoulian of Richline Group, Alok Mehta of IDD, and Dov Tannenbaum of Leo Schachter Diamonds. Jordan Peck of Color Merchants/Brevani was elected to a first full term after previously being appointed to fill a vacancy.

The organization said several former presidents—including Roger Forman of Marathon Company, Robert Kempler and Dave Meleski of Richline Group, Bruce Rubin of Uni-Design USA, and Victor Weinman of ODI/Original Designs—will continue serving as members-at-large.

Another past president, Goldstar LLC’s Michael Lerche, Steven Lerche’s father, will continue as pavilion chairperson.
