10 Moonstone Jewels That Prove the Gem Is Having a Moment

Last December, when Pantone announced its 2026 Color of the Year—the cool white Cloud Dancer—we had our doubts. They called it “calming,” “peaceful,” and “neutral.” We described it as icy and uninspired.

But after seeing so many silvery-white moonstones all over Las Vegas Jewelry Week, we’re thinking Pantone was onto something. “To me, it is one of the most poetic gemstones in nature,” says Trésor founder-designer Puja Bordia, a longtime JCK show exhibitor and a longtime moonstone lover. “No two moonstones are ever alike—each has its own mesmerizing glow, almost as if it’s capturing moonlight within the stone itself. I love how it changes with movement, revealing flashes of blue, silver, and soft iridescence.”

And she’s not surprised that more designers are embracing the shimmery stone. “Consumers are looking for jewelry with personality, emotion, and individuality rather than just traditional precious stones,” Bordia says. “Moonstone offers that sense of uniqueness. It feels organic, feminine, and versatile, and it pairs beautifully with both classic and contemporary designs.”
