Tiffany & Co. and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) are accepting applications for the second cycle of their jewelry designer award and fellowship, as well as for a new $25,000 scholarship and summer internship at Tiffany.
Tiffany and CFDA said in a May 11 announcement that the program’s inaugural year proved so successful they wanted to expand the opportunities it offers and have added a scholarship and summer internship in the Tiffany design department for a jewelry design student.
The winner of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award receives a $50,000 grant and a paid one-year fellowship in Tiffany’s design department. The initiative provides finalists with funding to produce a three- to five-piece collection for the selection committee. The finalists also receive mentorship and a multi-week learning experience centered on craft and material exploration.

“The Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award marks a meaningful expansion of what this program represents—not just for emerging designers, but for students at the very start of their creative journey. At the CFDA, we believe that creativity is the driving force behind American fashion, and this award is a testament to that shared belief,” Steven Kolb, CEO and president of the council, said in a statement.
Applications for the Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award close June 1. Finalists will be announced in the fall, and the winner will be announced in February 2027, Tiffany said. Applications for the new scholarship will open May 14 on the CFDA website.
Last year’s Tiffany x CFDA winner, Jameel Mohammed, is serving on the 2026-2027 selection committee. Other committee members are Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany’s senior vice president and chief artistic officer; Bethann Hardison, CFDA board member; Andrew Bolton, curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Frank Everett, vice chairman for jewelry at Sotheby’s; Rajni Jacques, creative director and global brand strategist; Karla Martinez de Salas, Vogue head of editorial content for Mexico and Latin America; actress Gabrielle Union; and writer Lynn Yaeger.
