The Silhouette Collection From Ailes Is Letter-Perfect

Share

Initial pendants and charms, along with other personalized jewels, have been much-discussed and ogled for the last several years, and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of that changing.

And just when you think letter jewelry couldn’t possibly amaze us any more, a brand debuts its take on them—to much adoration.

One such example is Ailes Jewelry, a young brand out of Dubai that made its debut in 2021. Its take on initial jewelry, named Silhouette, features two different styles that shoppers will most certainly wish to gobble up.

Using enamel beneath diamond-lined block letters to create a shadow effect—the “silhouette” for which the collection is named—you get an almost three-dimensional view of the initial, which is available in pendant and ring form. The choice of enamel is insane; the brand’s website shows 21 options, with five different shades of blue alone.

Notable enough, but Ailes also takes the line a step further with the addition of a coin pendant. With its shadowed initial placed at center, the round piece comprises wedges of gold in different textures, graduated lines of diamonds, and sharply scalloped edges. The entire pendant looks like a tribute to the initial, like sunshine is radiating from it and a heavenly tune is playing—you know, the whole angels singing aaaaah sound effect? If jewelry could play sounds, that’s what you might hear.
