Third Yurman Vet Jumps to Scott Kay

Susan Chandler, an experienced merchandiser who has worked at David Yurman, Frederick Goldman, and Gemvara, has joined Scott Kay as chief merchandising officer.

She joins two other Yurman vets, Tom Kennedy and John Croston, who recently joined the company as chief commercial officer and chief supply chain officer, respectively.

Scott Kay CEO David Minster is also a Yurman veteran.

Chandler worked as senior vice president of merchandising and brand management for Frederick Goldman for six years and as senior vice president, general merchandise manager for David Yurman for two. Her most recent position was chief merchandising officer for e-tailer Gemvara.

Chandler’s appointment will give company chairman Kay “the full freedom to create, while Susan has the ability to identify the most marketable collections to a broader base of buyers,” Minster said in a statement.

Kay said in a statement that he is confident Chandler will “create collections from my range of the simplistic to the outrageous, while maintaining the DNA of the Scott Kay brand. Susan will also be creating in-store and online jewelry assortments and contributing to the online strategy.”
