Citizen Donates $1.3 Million to Help Japan

Citizen is
donating $1.3 million to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief effort.

The watch company
has already donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross, earmarked for the
Japanese effort, and plans to donated an additional $1.25 million.

“Citizen is
headquartered in Tokyo, with offices, factories, and employees throughout
Japan,” Laurence Grunstein, president of Citizen Watch Company of America, said
in a statement. “Our thoughts are with them, along with the millions of other
people affected by this terrible disaster.” 

Jewelers for Children, the New York Diamond District, Shane Co., and other
jewelers
, are also making donations for relief efforts in Japan.
